Wayne Edgar Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 5, 2026.
Wayne Dean Edgar, age 74, formerly of Reedsport, Oregon, passed away

peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 4, surrounded by family. He was born

January 13, 1952, in Tillamook, Oregon, to Kenneth David Edgar and Reona May

(Hansen) Edgar.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 44 years, Luann; his son, David Wade of

Yoncalla; his daughter, Sarah of Sweet Home; his brother, Calvin of Reedsport;

his sister, Deanna of Dallas; his granddaughters, Anna Rae of Yoncalla and

Mackenzie of Sweet Home; his grandson, Cody of Sweet Home; and his nieces,

Ashley of North Bend and Caitlin of Dallas, Oregon.

Wayne spent 44 years working in the woods, falling timber and operating

equipment along the Oregon Coast. After retiring, Wayne bought a commercial

boat, the Delta Dawn, and fished out of Coos Bay for five years. Wayne loved the

outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Wayne was a loving husband, father, uncle, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Reedsport Masonic

Cemetery.
