Wayne A. Evink, age 82, of Holland, passed away peacefully and went to Heaven on Thursday, January 1, 2026.

Wayne enjoyed walking with his bride almost every day and exercising at Evergreen Commons. The last several years he loved playing games, especially (ticket to ride). He loved Lake Michigan, camping and nature. He worked at lifesaver for six years, Holland hospital for Ten years. Wayne retired from Thermotron after Thirty years. He cleaned Rose Park Baptist Academy to help pay his children's tuition so they could attend a Christian school. He was a member at Rose Park Baptist Church for 62 years. Wayne was a bus captain for 18 years. He faithfully loved and cherished his wife of 62 1/2 years. He loved and cherished all his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He trusted Jesus as his Saviour and was looking forward to going to heaven.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sally Evink; Parents, Gerritt & Bernice Evink, brother, Gary Evink and sister, Jan Evink.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Arlene and his four Children, Annette Johnson, Christine Hill, Tammy Rennison (Marvin) and David Evink.

Wayne was blessed with, eight grandchildren, Michael Vandenberg, Curtis Vandenberg, Daniel & Elise Hill, Bethany Austin, Andrea & Isaac Gilcrest, Paul & Jesse Rennison, Trina Rennison, Sean Hank. Four great-grandchildren, Samatha Austin, Emma Austin, Olivia Hill, and Paul Rennison.

Visitation will be 10:00 on Monday January 5, Followed by a service at 11:00 at Rose Park Baptist Church. 600 Butternut Dr, Holland, MI 49424. Rev Rob Pophal presiding.
