Wayne Alvin Fehd, 77, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.
Wayne was born in Evansville, Indiana on January 2, 1945 to the late Wilbert and Isabel (Schmidt) Fehd. He graduated from North High School and married Bonnie Trapp on April 10, 1965 at St. Lucas United Church of Christ. Wayne was the founder of Evansville Water Hauling and worked as a farmer. He also helped his father-in-law working jobs in the construction business. Wayne was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, a district supervisor at SWCD and involved with the Indiana Farmer's Union. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Wayne will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bonnie Sue (Trapp) Fehd; sons, Scott Fehd (Jacquelyn), Andrew Fehd, Eric Fehd and Adam Fehd (Jodie) all of Evansville, IN; sister, Shirley Melton of Evansville, IN; brother, Leland Fehd (Rebecca) of Chandler, IN; grandchildren, Jessica Ganapathy (Jai), Evan Fehd, Chloey Fehd, Loren Fehd and Raymond Fehd all of Evansville, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
Wayne was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Alvin Fehd, Jr.; and his parents.
A celebration of Wayne's life will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, 6400 Oak Hill Rd., Evansville, IN 47725 with Rev. Emily Slade officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem United Church of Christ Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 and again from 9:00 am until service time on Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem United Church of Christ.
