Wayne Eugene Grable, 62 of Waverly Nebraska, entered into rest Friday January 6, 2023 at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln Nebraska. He was born November 2, 1960 to Harlan and Bernice (Oetjen) Grable of Auburn Nebraska. Wayne was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Wayne was baptized December 11, 1960 and Confirmed April 11,1976 at St Paul Lutheran Church in Auburn Nebraska. Wayne graduated Auburn High School in 1979. He worked as a site manager at Marathon Gas/Linweld selling welding supplies for 36 years. He married Wendy Kuhn August 8, 2009 and they settled in Waverly Nebraska.

His hobbies included fixing and restoring old tractors, farming, and gardening. He especially loved growing watermelons. He loved golf cart rides with his grandchildren. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Murdock, Nebraska where he served as a steward.

He was preceded in death by his father Harlan Carl Grable, grandparents Carl and Hilda Grable, and Fritz and Viola Oetjen.

He Is survived by his mother Bernice Grable of Auburn; his wife Wendy of Waverly; children Melissa (Marc) McMurray of Elkhorn, grandchildren Michelle and Max; Matthew (Angel) Grable of Omaha, grandchild Vincent; Jen Kuhn of Lincoln; Tricia Kuhn of Lincoln. Brothers David (Marlene) Grable of Nebraska City, Roger (Sherry) Grable of Johnson, Dennis Grable of Auburn, and Dan Grable of Auburn.
