Wayne Douglas Head, 77, of Bluefield, WV lost his battle with cancer on April 21, 2025 with his daughter, Emma, by his side. He was born to Luther and Elizabeth Head on January 3, 1948.
Wayne loved taking and collecting pictures and reading the newspaper. He used to share pictures and newspaper clippings with his dad before he became sick with cancer and passed as well. He never met a stranger and loved to talk to everyone and try to make them laugh before his illness took over. Even after that, every nurse and aide that took care of him expressed how kind he was to them.
He was predeceased by his parents, siblings: Betty, Phyllis, Margaret, Carolyn, Richard, Roy, and Ronald. Grandson: Justin
He is survived by his daughters: Susan Hutton of Kansas, Janet Osborne of Virginia, and Emma Kiser of Princeton, WV. Grandchildren: Erika, Ciara, Selena, Monty, Austin, Aaliyah, Victoria, Montreal, and his namesake Jonathan Douglas. Several great grandchildren. Siblings: Coy Head, Barry Head, and Rita Robinett. Many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly as well.
