Wayne A. Horn, 75, of Kiel died unexpectedly on Friday May 17, 2024 at his home. He was born in Chicago, IL on May 24, 1948 son of the late Elmer and Helen (Janczy) Horn. Wayne was a graduate of Riverside High School in Chicago. He furthered his education at Augustana College where he received his bachelors degree and later his Masters Degree at Cardinal Stritch University.
Wayne was a respected and dedicated teacher at Kiel High School for 31 years until his retirement in 2003. During most of those years he was also the Wrestling Coach for the Kiel High School Raiders. Wayne's years as a teacher, coach and mentor influenced many students and athletes to work hard and do there best. He still held many strong relationships with his former students and wrestlers.
In his free time and especially after retirement, Wayne was an avid fisherman. The top spots over the years were Vilas County, the Bay of Green Bay, Winnebago and the Boundary Waters. He had many close fishing friends over the years, but fishing with his son David and his grandsons was most cherished.
Survivors include his children; Denise (Eric) Faust, McFarland, David (Nicole) Horn, Suamico, his grandchildren; Taylor and Alexandra Faust, Owen and Greyson Horn, further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
According to Wayne's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
Wayne's family would like to thank the Kiel Police Dept and Ambulance Service for all their help during this time.
