Wayne Devere Hurlburt

A United States patriot, Wayne Devere Hurlburt joined his wife in Heaven on Thursday, July 7, 2022. He was 88 years old. In addition to his wife, Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Grace Judd Hurlburt.

Wayne was born in Manton, Michigan, on May 9, 1934. After graduating from high school, he served in both the United States Navy and Air Force. Following his military career, Wayne worked as a truck driver for the United States Postal Office. He was a Shriner, Mason, and a member of the Revive Fellowship Ministries church in Perry. Wayne also enjoyed golfing.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Michael Hurlburt, Sr. (Kristie) of Hawkinsville and Todd Hurlburt, Sr. of Bonaire; grandchildren, Michael Jr., Ella, Emma, Hunter, Maddie, Levi Hurlburt and Todd Hurlburt, Jr.; nieces, Sherry Hurlburt and Kathy Ferperman (Don) of Florida; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

A memorial gathering will be Tuesday, July 12, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Wayne will be laid to rest privately.
