Wayne P. Jeckell, 65, of The Villages, Florida passed away on June 25, 2023, after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer.
He was born March 9, 1958 in Ashley, Pa. To the late James P. Jeckell and Arlene (Boyle) Jeckell. Wayne attended Crestwood High School, St. Jude Church and worked at Certainteed in Mountain Top for 27 years. He was a diehard Steelers, Lakers and Dodgers fan. He enjoyed golfing, shooting darts and the Jeckell family hunts in Mountain Top and Maine. The highlights of his life were camping, cruising, and Las Vegas with family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 25 years, Lynn (Mikolaicik) Jeckell; his loving daughter, Brittnee and wife Becca Spear, Pottstown, Pa.; son, James Jeckell II and wife Kristyn Giarratano Jeckell, Hanover Township, Pa.; Brittnee and Jimmy's mom, Carole Myron, Mountain Top, Pa.; sister, Cynthia, Little River, S.C.; brother, William and wife Christina Jeckell, Mountain Top, Pa.; sisters-in-law: Judi (Rob) Myers, Cindy (Bill) West; brothers-in-law: Gene Mikolaicik; niece, Alysha Emelett; nephew, Luke West; dear cousin, Mildred Jeckell; numerous family members and friends.
A funeral Mass will be at St. Timothy Catholic Church, The Villages, Florida, on July 11, at 8:30 a.m., with live streaming all day. Interment of ashes will be Sunday, July 16, at noon in Albert Cemetery, Church Road, Mountain Top, Pa. Celebration of life immediately afterwards.
