Wayne Konrad

The family of Wayne J Konrad, 84, of Marana, AZ. is deeply saddened to announce his passing after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Holyoke, MA. to the late Emery & Rose Konrad he was educated in local schools. He received an Associates Degree in Engineering from Holyoke Community College and a B.S.M.E. from Western New England University.

He held various engineering positions with major manufacturing companies, including Spalding Sports World Wide and Digital Equipment Corporation. He was past president of the Association of Facilities Engineer, Pioneer Valley Chapter.

Wayne loved all sports and was an avid golfer including time spent on the Board of Directors of Holyoke Country club.

He leaves his loving wife Dolores (Kuta) of 60 years, daughter Kristin and husband Mark Abbott

of Colleyville, TX, Grandchildren Bryan & Lauren Abbott , great granddaughter Amelia, Brother in Law Jack Kuta, wife Marla and nephew Mark Kuta and family of CA. He also leaves a sister Elaine Konrad of South Hadley, her children Tiffany, Robert, and families.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
