I knew Wayne for thirty years, a real gentleman and a class act. I also umpired with him for those years, trust me if you ever needed your back covered Wayne was the man. Outstanding behind the plate, he is who every coach wanted in the big game. Rest well friend

Ed Incle
August 16, 2025
My name is Ed Incle, and I used to umpire college baseball with Wayne in New York. He was a solid umpire who formerly worked in the minor leagues. But, much more important than that, he was a good partner. Wayne was always willing to step into a situation on the baseball diamond and handle it with aplomb, calmness, and appeal. Wayne will be sorely missed, and may the peace of Jehovah that transcends all human understanding descend upon Wayne´s family during this season of grief, sorrow, and loss.

Sorry to hear of your passing Wayne. You were my brother John Texiera´s best friend and sort of a 2nd brother to me. Always ready to tell on me when I was into mischief. Rest in Peace Wayne Francis.
