Wayne M. Peirick, 78, of Bennington, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Premier Genesee Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Wayne was born on September 30, 1947, to the late John and Mary Margaret (Marzolf) Peirick.
He was a lifelong farmer in Bennington, devoted to the land, his cows, and the family farm that meant so much to him. The Peirick farm was a proud partner of the Upstate Niagara Cooperative for many years. A faithful member of Sacred Heart Church, Wayne's strong values and quiet dedication were evident in the way he lived each day. He was a loyal fan of the New York Yankees, rarely missing a game and always cheering them on through every season.
He enjoyed bowling, had a deep appreciation for history, and was an avid reader. For many years, he also served his community as a committed member of the Bennington Volunteer Fire Department. Above all, he cherished his family. The time he spent with them-sharing stories, laughter, and simple moments together-was what he treasured most.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary Jane (Mikolajczyk) Peirick; children, Maryssa Peirick and Emma (Aneesh) Bhat; brother, Gerald (Beverly) Peirick; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In death, Wayne is reunited with his parents, John and Mary Margaret Peirick, and his brother, Alan Peirick.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia. Wayne's funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 9:30 am at Resurrection Parish, St. Joseph's Worship Site, 303 East Main Street, Batavia.
