Wayne H. Schwobe, age 82, died on Thursday, March 2, 2023 in Appleton with his family at his side. He was born at St. Elizabeth Hospital on April 7, 1940 to the late Glenroy and Evelyn (Chappa) Schwobe. He was married to Linda Springstroh in March of 1973.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 49 years, Linda, son, Allan (Lisa) Schwobe, Greenville, two daughters; Carmen (Richard) Van Domelen, Neenah and Jackie (Tony) Waalen, Star Prarie, WI, six grandchildren; Colton and Halle Schwobe, Jordon and Marley Van Domelen and Mariah and Seth Waalen and his two sisters; Sharon Reese, Menominee, MI. and Mary (Donald) Buck, Tomah, WI. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters in law; Robert (Gloria) Springstroh, James (Alanna) Springstroh and Lana (Mark) Fieck in addition to numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Wayne in death are his parents, step mother, Thelma Schwobe, father and mother in law, Wilbert and Marvelin Springstroh, a niece, Sarah School, nephew, Ryan Fieck, sister, Susan Elliott and brother in law, Bob Reese.
Family and friends may gather on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 9:00am until 11:00am with a memorial service to follow at 11:00am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2220 E College Ave., Appleton. Inurnment will take place at Community Lutheran Cemetery, Freedom.
