Wayne Simons Obituary
Simons, Wayne Thomas - Age 76, of Flint, died September 25, 2024. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Friday, October 4 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. (The service will livestreamed and can be viewed via the link on Wayne's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com) Visitation will be held 11:30 AM until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Humane Society of Genesee County. Wayne was born February 10, 1948 in Iron River, Michigan, the son of George and Jean (Lindbloom) Simons. He was a graduate of Whittemore High School. Wayne married Diana Frick on March 15, 2004. He retired from General Motors. Wayne enjoyed fishing, hunting, and car cruises. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Wayne was also a horror movie buff. He also enjoyed Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula. Wayne is survived by his wife, Diana; daughter, Lori Simons Gossett (fiance Robert Beardsley); son, Jason (Angela) Simons; grandchildren, Phyllis (Jensen) Brummel, Joseph Gossett, Breanna Simons and Sophia Simons; siblings, Robert (Zandra) Simons of South Carolina, Rodney Simons of Marquette; several nieces and nephews.
