Wayne grew up in Steel City PA and graduated from Southern Lehigh High School in Center Valley
He was a member of Bethany Wesleyan Church in Cherryville PA. He worked at Rock Hill Concrete, Penske Trucking, Friedman's Express Trucking and Este Trucking.
He Enjoyed playing cards, dice and Parchessi. He loved food, long car rides, TV, Elvis, Doo-Wop Music and Jesus.
Wayne is survived by his wife Carolyn Simons (Rau) of 55 years. They married on Aug. 30, 1969. 4 Children, Carolyn DePauw and her partner Craig Samuelson of Walnutport, Andrea Cooper and her spouse, Steve of Bethlehem, Thomas Laubach and his spouse, Mary of Walnutport, Karen Schaller and her spouse, Steven of Danielsville, Grandchildren, Derek Kleintop his partner Holly Steinmetz of Palmerton, Kayla King and her spouse Matthew, of Northampton, Tyler Laubach and his spouse, Bethany of Spokane WA, Allison Laubach of Lynchburg VA,Seth Schaller and his partner Hannah Reid of Bath PA, Lauren Schaller of Danielsville and 5 great-grandchildren, Sister, Paulette Risser of Danielsville, along with 2 nieces, Brenda Risser and Diane Tworkowsky of Danielsville.
Wayne is preceded in passing by parents Carl and Joyce (Frick) Simons, 2 grandchildren, Holly Kocher and Justin Kleintop and brother-in-law William Risser.
Services for Wayne will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
