Mr. Wayne Smith “Wolf”, 68, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 14th 2025 at Chase City Health and Rehab Center.

He was born in Charlotte County, Virginia on April 20th, 1957 to the late Walter Smith, Sr. and Lillie Byrd Smith. At an early age, Wayne joined Salem Baptist Church in Red Oak, Virginia. He attended Charlotte County Public Schools and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a DJ for years and was known as “DJ Wolf”. He also worked at Jonbil and then pursued a career in driving tractor trailer trucks for over thirty-six years.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his sisters, Ophelia Daniel and Sharon Dodd; brothers, Paul Smith and Silas Smith.

Wayne leaves to cherish his memories his sisters, Daisy Pettus and Regina Smith of Red Oak, VA and Teresea Pettus (Quincy) of Boydton, VA; brothers, Walter Smith, Jr. (Joann), and Chester Smith (Jackie) of Red Oak, Virginia; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, September 21, 2025 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Minister Calvin Stovall delivering the eulogy. Burial with military honors will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Red Oak, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be on Saturday from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
