Wayne O. Thein

Wayne O. Thein of Park Ridge, Illinois passed away July 31, 2025 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Sara Jane Thein née Precilio. Loving father of Christine T. (Paul) Girard, Julie (Greg) Nold, Thomas (Jennifer O'Malley) Thein, and Timothy (Courtney Maloney) Thein. Proud grandfather of Alexander, Kate, and Molly Girard, Sofia and Isabel Nold, Peter, Joe, Tricia, and Maggie Thein, and Abagail, Kellan, Patrick, and Christian Thein. Fond uncle of John, Lisa, and Nick (Joan) Precilio and Gabrielle (Jim) Thon. Devoted son of the late Oliver J. Thein and Phoebe Heroux. Wayne grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota and attended Saint John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota before earning his masters from the University of Chicago Business School. He served proudly in the Marine Corps. Wayne enjoyed playing golf, tennis, reading, laughing and spending time with his family and friends. He dearly loved his wife of 59 years, Sara Jane, and their close knit family. Celebration of Life Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at The Terraces at Bonita Springs, 26455 S Tamiami Trail, Bonita Springs, FL 34134.
