Mr. Wayne Erwin Towe, 80, of Roland Hayes Parkway, Calhoun, departed this life on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Piedmont-Cartersville Medical Center after a period of declining health.

Mr. Towe was born in Adairsville, Georgia, on August 17, 1943, the son of the late Robert and Lucille Smith Towe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Vic Hobgood; daughter-in-law, Penny Chastain Hobgood; sister, Jean Lewis; and brother, Daniel Towe. He retired as a Loom Fixer at Klopman Mills in Shannon, Georgia, and after retirement, he enjoyed working on and restoring classic automobiles. He was a member of Boone Ford Baptist Church and a Mason and Shriner.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Estelle Towe, to whom he was married for 30 years; three daughters, Robin and Bryan Bohannon, Angie and Donny Maness, and Skylar and Josh Williams; two sons, Robbie Towe and Kerry Hobgood; and sisters, Elaine Huffman and Vivian Riggs.

Grandchildren, Felicia, Hali, Ashley, Molli Beth, Gregory, Emily, Owen, Chaz, Dustin, and Brody; 23 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives.

The funeral service for Mr. Wayne Erwin Towe will be conducted on Tuesday, July 23rd, at 3:00 PM from Boone Ford Baptist Church, with Pastor Gary Quarles officiating. Eric Bohannon and Jamie Burns will provide the music. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will include Cliff Williams, Josh Williams, Marshall Greeson, Jamie Burns, Donny Maness, and Kerry Hobgood.

The family will receive friends Monday evening at Boone Ford Baptist Church between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour.

The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Wayne Erwin Towe of Calhoun.
