Wayne Henry Uther, 73, residing in Milan, passed away Sunday evening, April 27, 2025 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a long fought battle with his health.
Wayne was born on May 10, 1951 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Rolland and Marie (Leidheiser) Uther.
Wayne graduated from Edison High School in 1969. He was employed as a electrical wholesaler for over thirty years for several different companies. Wayne was well loved by all. He enjoyed every moment spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Wayne is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Mary Jane (Newland) Uther, whom he married on April 29th, 1978. He is also survived by his two daughters, Amanda Uther and Christine Moslener; three grandchildren, Scarlett, Gavin and Walker; three sisters, Helen Hainline, Betty Halston, and Nola Uther; two brothers, Harold (Judy) Uther and Paul Uther; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his brother, George Uther and sister, Wilma Wade.
Friends may call on Monday May, 5th, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1 South Main Street Milan, Ohio 44846. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 6th, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Groff Funeral Home in Milan with Pastor Wally Gilbert presiding. Burial will follow in Milan Cemetery, Milan, Ohio.
