Weldon “Duna” P. Dumond, Jr., 60, native of Dularge, and resident of Paradis, passed away on Thursday, August 7th, 2025.
Duna is survived by his wife of 30 years, Valerie Dumond; his children, John Lee, Selena Henderson, Ava Ramirez, Raven Darensbourg, Crystal Dumond, Kate Dumond, Chasity Dumond, and Chantel Dumond; his six grandchildren; his brothers, Timmy Dumond, Eric Dumond, and Mark Dumond; his sister, Christine Lapeyrouse; and many friends and family.
Duna was preceded in death by his parents, Weldon Sr. and Rita Mae Dumond.
Duna’s greatest joys in life were boating, fishing, and providing for his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and he will be missed dearly.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August, 16th, 2025, at the Des Allemands Mennonite Church, from 9:00 AM until service time. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Mennonite cemetery in Des Allemands.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Falgout Funeral Home for the funeral expenses.
