Weldon Frank Hardee

Weldon Hardee, 72, of Sunset went to be with his Lord Wednesday, February 12th, 2025.

Graveside Service is Noon Saturday, February 15th at Pleasant Grove #1 Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur. 

Joey Vick will officiate.

Weldon was born April 9, 1952 to Samuel Edward B. and Odessa Taylor Hardee in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage February 14th, 1970 to Sheila Candace Lewis in Decatur, Texas. Weldon was a truck driver for many years in the transportation industry. Weldon proudly served our country in the United States Army. He was a beloved husband, father, pappy, brother, uncle and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edd & Odessa Hardee; a brother, Johnny Hardee, and granddaughter, Caylei Jae Hardee.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Sheila Hardee; his sons, Jesse Hardee & wife Sarah, and Billy Hardee; grandchildren, Chelsey & Chance Rawls, Katie Mullen, Destinee & Jaston McBee, Reagan & Colton South, and Kasyn Hardee; great grandchildren, Corsi McBee, Blakely McBee, Huntleigh South, and Wynnie South; his sister, Evelyn Darlene Meador; his brother, Milton Hardee, Sr.; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
