Weldon “Keith” Knowles, 59, of Reidsville, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at his home, surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home, with burial to follow at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Reidsville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 PM.
Keith was born in Reidsville, North Carolina, on January 31, 1965, to William and Ethel Knowles, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a heavy diesel mechanic for D.H. Griffin for over 20 years. He spent over half of his life dedicated to his adoring wife, Lou, creating years of happy memories and a loving family. He was also a devoted father to Ricky and Brittany. His greatest accomplishment in life was being a PowPow to six wonderful grandchildren. Keith enjoyed spending his time watching westerns, working on cars, riding the kids on the lawnmower, and cherishing quality time with his grandbabies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ethel Knowles; his brother, Joey Knowles; his sisters, Shelby Hall and Janice Knowles; and four infant siblings.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-two years, Lou Knowles; his children, Ricky Apple (wife, Ashley) and Brittany Reynolds (Dylan); and six grandchildren, Kadence (Boog), Belle, Zachary, Aiden, Braxton, Tamen, and Layla. He is also survived by his best friend, Rowdy Hall, and close friend, Brian Turner.
The family would like to thank the staff at Ancora Compassionate Care, especially Caroline, for providing special and affectionate care. We would also like to thank the pallbearers assisting Keith on his final walk: Ricky Apple, Rowdy Hall, Brian Turner, Christian Mabry, and Paul Cline, as well as Keith’s grandchildren for completing his final walk.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wilkerson Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
