In Loving Memory of
Wendill June (Ritchie) Crum
August 22, 1954 – August 20, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Wendill June (Ritchie) Crum, who went home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2025, just two days shy of her 71st birthday. She passed peacefully in her home in Camdenton, Missouri, surrounded by those she loved most.
Born on August 22, 1954, in Parma, Missouri, Wendill was the daughter of Edward Dewayne and Mary Lunita Ritchie. She lived her life anchored in love, faith, and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gary Dewayne Ritchie; her grandson, Damien Scott Owen; and her first husband, Donald Dean Day, along with her second husband, Donald Wayne Crum.
Wendill leaves behind a family who adored her and whom she loved deeply:
• Her siblings: Ricky (Ronda) Ritchie of Camdenton, MO; Vanessa (Terry) Rhodelander of Warsaw, MO; Alice (Dennis) Pepper of St. Joseph, MO; Debbie Ritchie of Stover, MO; and Lunita Skinner of Marshall, MO.
• Her children: Clay (Kelly) Davis of Marshall, MO; Tammy (George) Vance of Marshall, MO; Carla (Travis) Roberts of Crestview, FL; and Donny (Tabby) Day of Boonville, MO.
• Her many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family, who brought her immeasurable joy.
Wendill was the heart of her family. She was known for her kindness, her unwavering support, and her gift for making every person she met feel special. Her greatest happiness came from time spent with family-whether in quiet moments at home or in the laughter of family gatherings.
Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that Wendill is reunited with loved ones who have gone before her. Her memory will forever live on in the lives she touched.
"My dear family, I want to remind us that God cares more about our hearts and faith than what happens to our earthly body. The Bible says 'the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it' (Ecclesiastes 12:7). Whether by burial or cremation, our bodies return to dust, but our souls are safe in His hands.
A celebration of Wendill's life will be shared with friends and family on October 4th 2025 @2:00 pm for family and friends
at Rick and Ronda's in Camdenton Mo, where she wanted to be til her last day!
We invite you to share memories, photos, and words of comfort here in her online memorial, so that her love and light may continue to shine through the stories of those who knew her best.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes, 1270 S Business Route 5, Camdenton, MO 65020 (573) 346-2090. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.hedgesscottmillard.com.
