Wendy Mae Ammirati

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Wendy Mae Ammirati (nee Hannah) on Friday, January 28th at the age of 69. Wendy was born in Glen Cove, New York to Russell and Helen Hannah as the youngest of three sisters. She met her husband, Natale Ammirati, while they both worked at Citibank. They married in 1988 and had two children, eventually settling in Wyckoff, where the family lived for many years. Upon the death of her husband in 2001, she went back to school and worked as a legal secretary until her retirement. Wendy is survived by her two sisters, Patricia Currie of Bloomfield, New Jersey and Susan Hull of Bandera, Texas, as well as her two children, Diana and John Ammirati. A dedicated and loving mother, she lived for her family (and a good cup of coffee). She could always find enjoyment in a good song, a good book, or a good joke. She will be remembered by those who knew her for her kindness, her friendliness, and her sense of humor, and not soon forgotten. Love you mom. The family will have a memorial service on Friday, February 4th from 11am to 1pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home of Wyckoff, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Interment of cremains to follow at Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery, Wyckoff.
