Wendy Lee Sever Bowes, 69, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, October 25, 2025. She was born on August 8, 1956, in Sarasota, Florida, to James and Shirley Sever. Wendy graduated from Clearwater High School and later attended the University of South Florida.

On July 29, 1981, Wendy welcomed her daughter, Kara Elizabeth, who was truly the light of her life. Being Kara's mom was Wendy's greatest joy and purpose.

Wendy spent 26 years with Publix, where she made countless friendships and touched many lives. She loved greeting her customers, sharing stories, laughter, and life's moments. She truly never met a stranger-her heart opened to everyone.

Wendy enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved her shopping, beach days, vacations with her family and Harley rides with her "Greggy" the most.

Wendy was known throughout the community as "Nonnie," especially at her grandchildren's sporting events. She loved her Friday night lights, proudly cheering on two of her grandkids-one on the cheer sidelines and one on the football field. Most Saturdays were spent in the sun at Trinity Mustang games, watching another grandson play football, or learning all about karate while supporting another grandson in his martial arts journey. Wherever her grandkids were, Nonnie was there-with her smile, her voice, and her whole heart.

Wendy was "Nonnie" to many, but most importantly to her cherished grandchildren: Christopher, Trinity, Cayden, Kendal, Maddox, Keaton, Maverick, Bailey, and Aspyn. Being their Nonnie was the true joy and honor of her life.

Wendy's smile lit up every room, and her generous heart made everyone feel loved. Those lucky enough to know her were embraced deeply, wholly, and without condition. Her legacy will forever be one of pure love and unwavering warmth.

Wendy is preceded in death by her parents, James and Shirley Sever. She is survived by her devoted life partner of 15 years, Gregg Lehasky; her daughter and son-in-law, Kara and John Sullivan; her loving sister and brother-in-law, Jamie (Sever) and Garry Fischbach; and nephews, Rob and Michael. Her bonus daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and DJ McDuffy; Gregg's son and daughter in law Cody and Catherine Lehasky, and daughter Taylor Lehasky (fiancé, Matthew Birren)

A celebration of Wendy's beautiful life will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025. Additional details will be shared at a later date.

Wendy will be missed forever and remembered always.
