Mr. John Edmund Waterfield, age 82, died peacefully at home with family in Panama City, FL. on October 28, 2025. He was born in Washington D.C. , proudly served in the Marine Corps and later attended the University of South Florida where he studied business administration. John met the love of his life, Kathryn Kay Waterfield in Clearwater while working at a healthcare facility as a Guardian ad Litem. Excited to embark on their 22 year pilgrimage together, the two were later married at Saint Catherine of Siena. John was a devoted caretaker of Kathryn for many years before her passing in August of 2024. John was an active member of Saint John The Evangelist and a volunteer at the Salvation Army. He was an avid reader and history buff who loved the outdoors. John delighted in being an uncle and grandfather and treasured time with his nephew, grandchildren and family. He will always be remembered for the unwavering support he showed his family, his pride in his nephew and grandchildren, his generosity and easy going nature, his desire to help others, and his keen memory and kind heart.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Adelaide and John Waterfield. He is survived by his sister, Linda (Joseph J.) Torres; nephew, Joey Torres; step-children, Jeb (Hoda) Beich and Sandy (BJ) Beich; and four grandchildren, Noah, Jonah, Hamzah and Jackson.
