Kelly Brown Stover, 56, of Easley, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025 in her home.
Born in Johnson City, Tennessee, Kelly was the daughter of Johnnie Brown and Janice Wade. She was a proud graduate of Bearden High School in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1987. In 1993, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, magna cum laude, with a minor in Psychology from the University of South Florida. She later continued her education at Clemson University, where she obtained her Master of Professional Accountancy in 2000. Kelly built a distinguished career as a Senior Auditor with Accident Fund, retiring in 2025.
Faith was the foundation of Kelly’s life. A devoted member of Easley Presbyterian Church, she served faithfully in many roles throughout the years, most recently as a member of the Journey Circle. She lived out her faith with grace, humility, and strength, drawing deeply from her relationship with Christ during her most challenging battles.
Kelly was a devoted wife, mother, and “energizer bunny” whose love for her family was boundless. She found her greatest joy in supporting her children in every season of their lives. Whether proudly cheering as a dedicated baseball mom for her son at Anderson University or serving as a Girl Scout leader alongside her daughter, Kelly poured her whole heart into motherhood. She was always there with support, encouragement, and unconditional love.
Creative, energetic, and full of life, Kelly enjoyed cross-stitching, playing Mahjong, and building meaningful friendships wherever she went. She was known for her kindness, intelligence, and determination - qualities that shined especially bright throughout her battle with cancer. Kelly gave her all to everything she did, and she did so with love, strength, and unwavering perseverance.
She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Chris Stover; her son, Zachary Stover; her daughter, Lauren Stover Nichols (Jacob); her brother, Phillip Brown; her sister, Lisa Pierce (Jason); two uncles, Al and Gules; and two aunts, Kathy and Sharon Gules.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Easley Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will be held at Easley Presbyterian Church on November 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
