Wendy Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Directors on Dec. 15, 2025.
Wendy Kathleen Davis of Eustis, Florida, passed away on December 6, 2025. Born in Buffalo, New York, Wendy made Florida her home in the 1970s, where she shared her boundless creativity and vibrant spirit with all who knew her. She married Russel Raehn Davis on June 30, 1984, and was preceded in death by her husband and her parents, Richard and Virginia Huber.

A true flower child at heart, shaped by the spirit of the 1960s, Wendy loved music, dancing, and all forms of art. She had a deep love of animals and spent many happy years on the family farm, raising Santa Gertrudis cattle at Darklyn Farms. Those experiences later inspired her lifelong passion for handcrafted jewelry and led to the creation of Darklyn Jewelry.

She was a proud business owner, winning the B.P.W. New Business Women of the Year in 2005. Wendy was a talented artisan, known for her work in jewelry, lapidary, and beadwork, and was a cherished member of the traveling jewelry show community. She also delighted in attending Renaissance fairs, always embracing life with curiosity and joy. It is fondly remembered that she may have made the world's best Denver chocolate cake and her famous Kris Kringle sugar cookies.

Wendy is survived by her daughters, Crystal Cyzcon (Ronald) and Tiffani Davis (David); her seven grandchildren, Meghan, Tierney, Vee, Rose, Oz, Raehn, and Robin; and her great-grandchild, Mercutio, who all brought immense joy to her life.

Her life will be honored at a funeral service on Thursday, December 18, at 1:00 p.m. at Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals, 326 E. Orange Avenue, Eustis, FL 32726, followed by burial at Lakeside Memory Gardens, 36601 County Road 19-A, at 2:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Eustis Community Center, 601 Northshore Drive. All who knew her are welcome to attend, and guests are invited to wear their favorite piece of Darklyn Jewelry, if they have it.

Wendy's creativity, warmth, love of animals, and passion for life will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.

Parking for Hamlin & Hilbish will be in the parking lot across the street next to Lake Eustis Christian Church. There will be cones, a sign, and possible police assistance with crossing. For those unable to walk or needing additional assistance there is parking in the back of the building with a ramp to assist getting into the building.

Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.

Wendy was awesome. I had a couple of great afternoons with her. I love jewelry and so did she. Her store was a guilty pleasure. Wish I could have had more time with her. I will miss her. Ruth Furlow
