A funeral service for Dorman Westbrook “Wes” Griffin, Jr. 72 of Cleburne, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 27, 2025 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel Pastor Gary Rhudy and Mr. Brent Prunty officiating. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to service.
Wes passed away peacefully at home on September 20, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. He was born on November 12, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas, and he also lived many years in Oklahoma. Wes was loyal and had a great sense of humor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
After over 40 years in the banking industry, Wes thoroughly enjoyed his retirement. He was very committed to his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Audrene (Schnorr) Griffin, his parents, Dorman Westbrook Griffin, Sr. and Nyda Bell Murray, and his brother Raymond Griffin.
Wes is survived by his daughters, Brook Watson and her husband Wesley, and Shelley Ratliff; son, Brad Stewart; grandchildren, Logan White, Karson Ratliff, Luke Watson, and Jake Watson; girlfriend, Becky Raney; sisters, Paulla Griffin, Sheila Fletcher, and Karin McCormick, and brother, Joe Griffin. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Wes's spirit will continue to shine through the lives of those he touched, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to family will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones.
