Wesley Neil Branch, of Plainville, Kansas, passed away on August 18, 2025, at Redbud Village in Plainville, at the age of 64. He was born on December 28, 1960, to Edward F. and Shirley Ann (Grieve) Branch in Plainville. He was married in 2002, to Pamela Cleveland. She passed away in 2007.
Wes grew up in Plainville and graduated from Plainville High School in 1979. That same year, he began serving his country in the United States Air Force. After completing basic training in Texas, he was stationed in North Dakota and later in Japan. He served with dedication until his honorable discharge in 1992, and then continued his service in the Reserves until 1995.
Wes was a passionate Seattle Seahawks fan and found joy in the outdoors - especially hunting and fishing. A proud gun enthusiast, he also enjoyed spending time at the casino, and was known for his skills at darts and pool. Wes had a big heart and a playful spirit; he loved animals, children, flying kites, and sharing a cold beer with friends.
Wes is survived by his father, Ed Branch, of Plainville; siblings, Brenda (Doug) Jennings, of Plainville, Michael (Kathy Delzeit) Branch, of Plainville, Brian (Angel Fasulo) Branch, of Zurich; one step-daughter; two step-sons; step-grandchildren; two nieces and three nephews, Jacob (Kalea Graf), Brittany (Marc Hansen), Tori (Wyatt) Stark, Isaac, John; two great-nieces, Adalynn Roller and Wrenley Hansen, one great-nephew, Jaxson Hansen, and lifelong friends, Brad and Connie Norton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela; mother, Shirley; grandparents, aunts, uncles and his beloved dog, Shady.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home in Plainville. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Stockton. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 26th from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home in Plainville.
