Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary & Monuments - RussellWesley Owen Duvall, 71, of Bunker Hill, Kansas, died on Thursday, October 09, 2025, at the Wilson Care and Rehab Center in Wilson, Kansas.
Wesley was born on November 08, 1953, in Odessa, Texas, the son of Duane A. and Wanda L. (McLaughlin) Duvall. He grew up in Luray, Kansas, and graduated from Luray High School. He worked as a contract mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, The Bear House and for DSNWK. Even though he was never married he was very close to his extended family, especially his niece and nephews, and enjoyed getting out with his guardian Melodie. Before his health declined, Wesley liked to hunt and fish. Later in life he liked to sit in his chair rocking and listening to the radio and drinking his diet Mountain Dew
Surviving family includes his nephews Cary Duvall, Joshua Duvall (Mary Frances), niece Amy Duvall all of Concordia, Kansas, along with great nieces and nephews and his guardian Melodie Anschutz of Russell, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Phillip Duvall and nephew Christopher L. Duvall.
Cremation was selected by the family. A graveside service to celebrate Wesley’s life will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Bunker Hill Cemetery in Bunker Hill, Kansas. Family will greet guests the day of the graveside service. Cards and condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell, Kansas, who is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
