Wes was born June 16, 1941, to William and Velma (Weber) Greve in Iowa Falls, IA. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School where he was proud of his accomplishments on the football field.
Wes was active in his children's interests while they were growing up and coached elementary school wrestling and track. He also played slo-pitch and sang in the Barber Shoppe Chorus.
Wes was a volunteer coach for the Miracle League in Des Moines, IA. He also provided childcare, and was "Papa" to Charlie Breese since her birth. He enjoyed spending time pheasant hunting, golfing, and in his flower garden. He also enjoyed collecting wolves and his home was filled with his collection.
He was known for telling jokes wherever he went and to everyone he met. Spending time with family and friends was most important to him and he was very excited when he recently became a great-grandpa.
