Wesley John Salter

Wesley John Salter, 48, of Chumuckla, Fl, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 11, 2025. Wesley was born in Milton, FL to Jackie and Ladeane Salter. He resided on Rabbit Hill (Chumuckla ) all his life. Wesley was self employed as a carpenter and other odd jobs. There was nothing he couldn't build or do. He also worked as a pipe fitter for several years. He attended his Freshman through Junior years at Jay High School where he played as a point guard. He was a 1996 graduate from Central High School where he held the 3-point record for seven years on the Varsity basketball team.

He loved to fish, stay busy, and anything to do with his kids. He was an Auburn fan and enjoyed watching the Jay Royals play football, but especially his favorite player, # 15, Weston Salter. Wesley is survived by his step mom,Jane Salter of Chumuckla; a sister, Tabatha Gore of Chumuckla; son, Weston Salter of Chumuckla; daughters, Jacklyn Salter and Brooklyn Salter, both of Chumuckla, and Brianna Stewart of Atmore, AL, along with many loving Aunts,Uncles,cousins, and special friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Jay Funeral Chapel with Pastor Larry Pearson officiating. Visitation will be from 00 PM until service time. Private burial services will follow.

Pallbearers will be Toby Russell, Patrick Hullet, Devon Bass, Hunter Hall, Gabe Pennell, and Kevin Fletcher.

Honorary Pallbearers are Glennon Russell, Jerod Salter, Joel salter, Mike Pennell, Bradley Pennell, John Atkins. And Shawn Scott.
