Whitney Margaret Parker, age 36 was born on September 10, 1988, in Knoxville, Tennessee. With profound sadness yet celebrating a life well lived, we announce her peaceful passing on May 3, 2025, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.
A proud 2006 graduate of Claiborne High School and a member of the Chittum Chapel Baptist Church.
Whitney's journey was marked by her loving and thoughtful nature, which shone through in every endeavor she undertook. Whitney was a beacon of love and kindness to her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Connie Parker, whose legacy of love and compassion she carried forward every day. Whitney's spirit lives on through her beloved son, Oliver Kersey, who was the light of her life and her greatest joy. Her sister, Lindzi Caylor, and brother-in-law, Spencer, will forever cherish the countless memories they shared. Her grandmother Margret Hammons, loving nephew, Parker Bussell, along with several cousins, relatives, and a multitude of friends, will continue to feel Whitney's influence in their lives for years to come.
Whitney's capacity for love knew no bounds, and her presence was a gift to all who were lucky enough to know her. She approached every day with a passionate heart and a thoughtful mind, always considering the feelings and needs of others before her own.
As we bid farewell to Whitney, we reflect on a life that, although too short, was lived to the fullest. She taught us the importance of passion, the value of thoughtfulness, and the power of love. Whitney's legacy is one of compassion, fun and loving heart which will be missed here on earth.
Whitney's story is not one of sorrow, but rather a celebration of a life that will continue to inspire and uplift all who were blessed to know her. As we say goodbye, we take comfort in the knowledge that her love will forever be our guide, and her memory a cherished keepsake. Rest in peace, dear Whitney, until we meet again.
A celebration of life will be held in the Claiborne ~ Overholt Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday May 8, 2025 from 6pm till 7pm.
