Wilber Dale Redd, 91, died April 23, 2025, at Sunshine Meadow Retirement Community, Buhler. He was born December 9, 1933, to Archie and Gladys Redd.
Wilber graduated from Buhler High School. He served in the United States Army in the late 1950s. He retired in 1996 from Eaton after being a machinist for 23 years. Wilber liked to tend to his garden and backyard. He enjoyed spending time with his animals, helping others and hunting. Wilber loved to go to the Grand Lake O' the Cherokees.
On November 19, 1988, he married Sue Forgay, at the Community Center in Arlington. They shared over 36 years of marriage prior to his death.
Wilber is survived by: his wife, Sue; children, Rick Brawner and Renee Morford, both of Hutchinson, Steve (Jacki) Redd of Wichita, Kenneth Redd of South Hutchinson, Kathaleen Redd of Buhler, Sharon (Lou and Lori Bernardo) Redd of Wichita, Ginger (Tim) Dierkson of Medicine Lodge; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Maxine Immesote of Webb City; brothers, Karl Redd of Arkansas and Allen Redd of Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Walter Redd, Floyd Redd; sister, Carlene Poe; and daughter in-law Francie Redd.
Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or Reins of Hope, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS, 67501.
