Wilbert J. Clark, age 86, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025. Born on March 15, 1939, in Henry County, Kentucky, Wilbert lived a full and vibrant life rooted in family, hard work, and joy.

He is preceded in death by his sibling, Gayle Clark, and Norma Berry.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Brenda, and children: Peggy Mertz (Steve), Jeanie Perry (Scott, deceased), Debbie Gulley (Steve, deceased), Pam Mikusi (Chris), Pam Frazier (Tony), and Bo Clark (Susan). He was also a loving stepfather to Darrel Allen (deceased), Diane Ferguson (Wes), Marty Allen, Connie Lloyd (Dean), Lorrie Allen, and Karen Armstrong; and brother to Jerry Clark, Phil Clark, Marietta Mathena.

Wilbert was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather to many, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride. Among them, Bryan Dixon held a special place in Wilbert's heart-not only as a grandson, but as someone who felt more like a son. Their bond was deep and enduring, a testament to the love Wilbert gave so freely.

He retired from General Electric and Bob Hook Chevrolet, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, Wilbert embraced life with enthusiasm-whether enjoying nights out with Brenda at their favorite spot by the dance floor, cheering on his favorite wrestlers, or admiring fast cars. He loved hunting, fishing, yardwork, spending time in Daytona with Brenda, and doting on his beloved dog, Ginger. His sharp sense of humor and easygoing nature made him a joy to be around and a cherished presence in the lives of many.

Wilbert will be remembered for the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the legacy he leaves behind in the hearts of his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5th from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, November 6th at 10:00 AM, also at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY.
