WILDA MAE THOMAS BRANCH, AGE 80
And a resident of the Stateline Community passed away peacefully Thursday evening July 25, 2024 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was retired after a long career for the Washington Parish School Board working in the cafeteria at Angie Junior High School. Wilda loved working alongside the ladies she served with and she enjoyed seeing the many children each and every day. She was a seamstress and an excellent baker, making delicious cakes, pies and candy, always sharing her favorite recipes with family and friends. Wilda was a longtime active member of Forest Haven Missionary Baptist Church, often making the best rice and gravy for church dinners and events. She loved spending time with her grandsons and great-grandchildren.

Son and Daughter in law: Joseph and Lorraine Branch of Stateline
Grandsons: Joseph Jordan and Shenia Branch,
Thomas Branch,
Jackson Branch
Great-grandchildren: Avery, Gavin and Baylor
Sister: Linda Magee
Sisters in law and a Brother in law: Elizabeth Lee,
Shirley Branch,
Bobbie Sue Thomas,
Jim McCain
Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members
She was preceded in death by an infant son Melvin Lamar Branch, husband of 58 years N.H. "Buddy" Branch, Jr., her parents Edgar and Rosena Thomas, sister and brother in law Georgia and J.D. Moore, sister Lucy McCain, brothers Charles Thomas, Billy Thomas and other family members.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday July 27th from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 pm Saturday with Eld. Richard Magee officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas/Forest Haven Cemetery.
