Wilda Magee Obituary

Wilda or as some know her as "WOO" was known as the baby girl out of her siblings. Wilda was such a sweet, beautiful soul with a big heart that loved every child she would encounter. Wilda was full of love, she was known for her many hobbies including piercing ears, baking cakes, braiding hair, and not forgetting the good food she cooked.
Wilda was a very hard worker she works for many years with Trinity and Avondale shipyards and Mrs. Sarha and the John Daniels family. Until she settled IN Franklinton, LA and begin to work for the Franklinton Police Department until her retirement.
Wilda leaves to cherish her memories her three children, Asjuan Magee, Sr., Tiche Magee, Alicee Crosby; seven grandchildren, London Magee, Asjuan Magee Jr., Aniya Magee, Akeria Wilson, Darrin Dykes, Lemarion Charles and Artis Franklin Jr.; one great grandchild, Truce Hart, and one on the way; two siblings, Sandra (James) Brock, Allen "Butch" ( Allean Ginn) Taylor; a special daughter, Angela Graves; six godchildren, Jackie Lowe, Boomer Cotton, Anthony Dillon, Jasmine Jenkins, De' Ja Long, Santana Chatman and a host of grand and other great grandchildren from her previous relationship with L.M. James and host of other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norma B. Taylor, Wiley Taylor; sisters, Yvonne Henry, Catherine Fae Lee, Dorthy Crosby, And Emma Taylor; brothers, Emeal Taylor, Lawarence "Boe" Taylor, Phillip Taylor, Tommy Bell and L.C. "Lil Buster" Taylor.
A visitation will be on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 3:00PM – 5:00PM followed by a family hour from 5:00PM – 6:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11:00AM at Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness USA with Rev. Terrence August – Officiating, Eld. Kevin Golden – Host Pastor. Interment will be held at the Martin Taylor Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements. Please sign guest book at www.crainandsons.com.
