Wilfred Huisman Obituary
Wilfred Ralph Huisman, age 96, of Litchfield, MN passed away Wednesday, July 23 at his home.
A visitation will be held at Johnson Hagglund Funeral Home from 1:30 - 3:00 PM, with a 3:00 PM Funeral Service on Sunday, July 27. A family interment will be held at Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN on Monday July 28, 2025.
Wilfred was born on January 30, 1929, to Maint and Leona (Naber) Huisman in the Litchfield area. In his youth, Wilfred committed his heart to the Lord and was faithful to that vow all his life. On January 25, 1952, he married Geraldine Temple, and six children were born to them. Most of their married years, they had a dairy farm south of Grove City. In 2013, they moved to Litchfield.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Geraldine, 6 children, Brenda, Kevin, Ellen (Kent) Griswold, Donna, Wayne (Lori), Warren (Elizabeth); 9 grandchildren, Amanda Anderson, Nicholas, Thomas (Jody), Kurtis (Jennifer), Deidre, Carlin, Kyle, Lauren (John) Henley and Brooke and 7 great grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews and many special friends.
Wilfred was preceded in death by his parents and 9 siblings, William, Freda, George, Esther Pratt, Mary, Martha, Emma Henderson, Lois Larson and Laura Wilkerson.
