Our beloved father, Willard Joseph Mouton, went to meet his family in heaven on November 14, 2025, at the age of 99. He led a very healthy and happy life, always the quintessential Southern gentleman who cared for his family in grand style. Born in Perry, Louisiana, on July 13, 1926, he grew up playing baseball, becoming a Boy Scout, and graduating as the valedictorian of his class.
At just 17, he volunteered to join the Navy during World War II and served until the end of the war. Afterward, he attended LSU on the GI Bill and earned a degree in Business Administration. With his degree, he began his career at GMAC and later became a general manager of several car dealerships in South Louisiana and East Texas.
A devoted family man, he spent his free time cooking and playing golf with his loved ones, passing on his passion for the game to his entire family. In his seventies, he discovered a new calling as a teacher at Delta Business College, where he found great joy in educating others.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 74 years, May Nora Broussard, as well as by his oldest son Russell Mouton, his youngest son Remy Mouton, and his grandsons Jake and Lane Mouton.
He is survived by his daughter Renée Healy (Charles), his sons Rowland Mouton, Richard Mouton (Kay Ellen) and Robert Mouton, his daughter-in-law Macky Mouton, and his many grandchildren: Aubrey Zuelke, Andrea Mouton, Falin Dougay, Alex Mouton, Jason Mouton, Hanna Treese, Lunden Mouton, Victoria Healy, and Gracen Mouton. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Paige Boudreaux, Victor Paul Roth, Jr., Paris Dougay-Korunka, Kameron Dougay, Pepper Dougay, Paxton Dougay, Ellys Mouton, Rhys Mouton, Amelie Mouton, Cooper Mouton, Nora Mouton, Magnolia Treese and Ivy Mouton.
Visitation will be held on January 10, 2026, at 10:00 am at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Mass to follow at 11:00 am. Address: 15615 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70817.
