Weber Funeral Home - DelphosWilliam (Bill) Parmalee Lisboa (74) passed away Wednesday, July 9th, 2025, at Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City, Arizona after complications from leukemia and chemotherapy. Bill was born on April 22nd, 1951, in Palawan, Philippines to Alberto and Bertha Lisboa, who have preceded him in death.
He is survived by two older sisters: Laraine (Arturo—deceased) Tiong, her four children of Flint, Michigan, Jane Catiil, and her seven (nephew--deceased) children of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines. Bill is finally reunited with his son, Matthew Robert, who passed away on September 26, 1987, of sudden infant death syndrome.
Bill was born in Culion, Palawan, part of the Philippine Islands. He emigrated from the Philippines to Hawaii in 1972, working at the Hilton Hawaiian Village for 18 years. He met Linda (Weber), the love of his life, while she was on vacation in 1974. They were married on November 9th, 1976, in Honolulu, Hawaii. They built a life together, working and living in paradise. Bill and family relocated to Ohio in the Summer of 1990.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Rachel (Matt) Eldridge, two grandsons, Ian Matthew and Andrew James of Surprise, Arizona. He was a proud father to Rachel but was even more proud to be their grandfather. Through them, he found the purpose and strength to live each day, along with his profound faith in God. Bill’s smile was bigger, his laugh was louder, and his heart was fuller when he was with them. Towards the end, Bill enjoyed watching Andrew play the ukulele, and would save his energy all week to go watch Ian play tackle football.
Bill was welcomed into Linda’s family: Barb (Larry)Armstrong, Kathy (Charlie—deceased) Pugh, Mary (Jim) Rode, Ginny (Pete) Beko, Rob (Laurie) Weber, Carl (Mary Lou) Weber, and Karen (Sandy) Weber. He has many nieces and nephews who hold fond memories of him.
Bill and Linda moved to Surprise, Arizona in November 2020 to be closer to their daughter and her family. He and Linda were both active members of the St. Vincent de Paul chapter of their church, St. Clare of Assisi in Surprise. Linda carries on his memory by remaining active, helping the homeless in their community. Bill was a talented competitive table tennis player up until he suffered his first stroke in 2017. He developed many close friendships with members of the Retrouvaille Ministry.
Visitation hours for Bill will be held on Friday, October 24th from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Weber Funeral Home in Delphos, Ohio. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 25th at 10:00am at St. John’s Catholic Church in Delphos, Ohio. Burial to follow the Mass at Resurrection Cemetery.
