William Kylen Albritton, 66, of Ona, Fl, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 in Arcadia, FL. He was born in Arcadia on January 13, 1957 and had been a lifetime resident of Hardee County. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wauchula and worked at various Law Enforcement agencies for many years, retiring from the DeSoto County Sheriff Office at the rank of Sergeant. William was the recipient of the Lifesaving Award from the DeSoto County Sheriff Office, along with multiple commendations from Law Enforcement, and was a member of the Arcadia All Florida Championship Rodeo Association.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Kylen Albritton, and a sister, Belinda Pedretti. Survivors include his wife, Monica Albritton of Ona; mother, Mary Albritton of Ona; two sons, James Albritton (Heidi) of Zolfo Springs, and Chris Albritton (Miranda) of Wauchula; one daughter, Ashley Albritton of Arcadia; one brother, Eddie Albritton (Linda) of Greensboro, NC; one sister, Becky Albritton Sikes (Russell) of Crofton, KY; and four grandchildren, Matthew James Albritton, Kylen Wade Albritton, Hunter Lee Albritton, and Dolly Hannah Grace Albritton.
Visitation will be held at Robarts Garden Chapel on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services are Tuesday, February 28th at First Baptist Church of Wauchula at 10:00 AM. Pastor Matt Roberts will officiate. Interment is in Lily Cemetery.
Honors will be provided by Law Enforcement.
