William Joseph Allen
November 23, 1963-November 30, 2025
In loving memory of William “Bill” Joseph Allen, also known as Billy Joe by his family of Walton, KY. From a large family, he is survived by his brothers Kevin Allen and Steve Allen; sister Mary Allen Staat; nieces Laura (nee Serbantez) Treadway, Jennifer Westwood, Angie Schaaf, Stephanie Wallace, Melanie Hazlewood, Emily Pocsatko and Katie Staat; nephews Jamie Allen, Denny Allen, Scotty Allen and George Staat; many great nieces and nephews and his beloved cat Joey.
Bill grew up in Erlanger, KY and graduated from Lloyd Memorial High School in 1982.
He was a believer and enjoyed attending Bible Study led by Pastor Bill and his wife Sarah along with Lisa, Shawn, Mike, Maryanne, Vern and Carol.
Bill loved his cat Joey, Big Bone, UK Basketball, the Reds and Bengals, old movies, M&Ms and his mom’s banana bread.
He amazed everyone with his keen memory of sports trivia and movies.
Bill was kind to all, and we’ll remember him as his Grandmother Acree referred to him as “The Gentle Giant” who gave the best hugs.
Before his passing he spoke often of how wonderful it will be to see his Mom (Betty Allen), Dad (Bill Allen), sister (Nancy Taylor), brother (Robert Allen), nephew (Lawrence “Wade” Treadway) and niece (Chelsea Westwood).
Give them all a giant hug from us Billy Joe. We love you.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to raise money and awareness for mental health services at Lloyd Memorial High School in honor of his niece Chelsea Ryann Westwood to “Chelsea Ryann’s Festival of Hope” at Chelsearyann.org (with Venmo or Credit Card) or by check to 36 Forest Avenue, Erlanger, KY 41018.
