William Edward “Bill” Allgood, 73, of Boydton, Virginia passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025. He was born August 15, 1951 in Granville County, North Carolina and was the son of the late Henry Edward Allgood and the late Gertie Bowman Allgood.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elsie Allgood Fox.
Bill is survived by his children, Lisa Allgood Adams (Barry) of Chase City and Timothy Edward Allgood (Cathy) of Southport, NC; grandchildren, Samantha Honeycutt (Timothy), Derrick Allgood (Brandi), and Kourtney Smith (Grant); and great-grandchildren, Machlan Roark, Ollie Allgood, Lainey Smith, and Kyzlynn Honeycutt. He is also survived by his sister, Margaret Lenning (David); numerous nieces and nephews; loving friend, Barbara Edmonds; and special friends, Gene Chandler, Phyllis Owen, Danny Fox, and Roy Dale Carter.
He was a former employee for Tucker-Bevell Ford Motor Company before becoming a mechanic for the Mecklenburg County Public School Bus Garage where he was employed for 30 years. Bill loved the outdoors and was an avid coin collector.
A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Easters United Methodist Church Cemetery.
