William Troy Allred, affectionately known by his family as "Pop," passed away on May 24, 2024 at his home in Sardis, MS. He was born on June 11, 1937, in Sledge, MS. Troy dedicated 40 years of his life to working for United Van Lines in Memphis, TN, showcasing his strong work ethic and dedication to for his beloved family.

Funeral services will be 4:00 P.M. Sunday, May 26, 2024, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Longtown Cemetery in Crenshaw, MS. The family will be receiving friends prior to the service beginning at 3:00 P.M.

Troy's journey began at Sledge High School, where he excelled in football basketball, and baseball. His passion for sports was evident throughout his life as he spent joyful hours watching football games and westerns. Despite his busy career, Troy always made time for the things that brought him joy.

One of Troy's proudest accomplishments was his loving family. He cherished his wife of 67 Years, Nancy Carol Frakes Allred, who survives him along with their two daughters, Kathy Allred Aldison (Al) of Sledge, MS, Heather Allred Wells (Chris) of Batesville, MS, and son William Troy "Chip" Allred Jr (Marsha) of Senatobia, MS. Troy also leaves behind a legacy through his eight grandchildren: Mac Aldison, Colt Aldison, Layton Wells, Emily Wells, Jensen Wells, Landry Wells, Kayla Allred, and Will Allred; as well as six great-grandchildren: Slade Aldison, Hawk Aldison, Ridge Aldison, Steel Aldison, Sailor Aldison and Finley Aldison.

In addition to his immediate family, Troy is survived by four sisters: Peggy Allred Barber of Senatobia, MS; Patsy Allred Turner of Leland; Judy Allred Parker (Tony) of Leland; Denise Allred Glover of Red Bay; and is predeceased by his parents Travis and Vadis Blount Allred; sister Barbara Nell Allred Potts; and three brothers Caris Allred Ronnie Allred Travis Michael "Mickey" Allred.

William Troy Allred will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and hardworking nature. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing that he has left a lasting impact on those whose lives he touched.
