Columbiana - William "Bill" L. Arthurs, 79, beloved husband, father, and grandfather died on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at his home.
He was born on May 14, 1946, in East Palestine, son of the late Willard and Ruth Munyon Arthurs.
William worked as a pipe fitter and served as a Gunners Mate Second Class in the US Navy aboard the USS Wrangell AE-12 during the Vietnam War. He attended First Christian Church in Columbiana, enjoyed woodworking, collecting cast iron skillets, and was often seen walking or biking around town.
William is survived by his wife, the former Deloris Ackman, whom he married on January 23, 1971; two sons, David (Amy) Arthurs and Donald (Dawn) Arthurs both of Columbiana; five grandchildren, Deanna (Jesse) Hall, Dara (Cole) Frank, Brady Arthurs, Daniel Arthurs, and Dena Arthurs who will dearly miss their “Papa”; and a brother, Mike (Chong) Arthurs.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Arthurs, and sister, Beverly Fittante.
Per Bill’s wishes, a private service will be held for the immediate family led by Chaplain Jonathan Salmen.
Burial will take place at Columbiana Cemetery.
