William Artzberger Obituary
Loving father of William Artzberger (Jonalyn) of NC and the late James (surviving wife, Sandra) Artzberger; Grandfather of Mary (Zack) Artzberger Ruffing and Nora Artzberger; Great-Grandfather of Troy William Ruffing and Violet Ruffing; special companion of Joan Sturtz.
Bill was born on December 23, 19258 in Pittsburgh. He served in the Navy during World War II and then worked his entire career at KDKA where he built the first television transmitter. Bill was well known for his customizations and restoration of cars, including his prize winning Model A, multiple Corvairs, and the Artzberger/Foster Steam Wagon, among others. After writing his book, Corvair... A History and Restoration Guide, he went to teach community college courses and was a member of several car clubs. He will be greatly missed.
Services will be private. Arrangements handled by Schellhaas Funeral Home, West View.
