William Joseph "Billy" Auerweck

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William "Billy" Joseph Auerweck, II who left us on June 3, 2025. A devoted father, cherished friend, and proud retiree, Bill lived his life to the fullest - with joy, generosity, and a spirit that touched everyone lucky enough to know him. He is survived by his son, William "Willie" Joseph Auerweck, III and his brother, David Leo Auerweck.
Billy spent much of his career at the Ford Truck Plant, where he was known not just for his hard work and dedication, but for the friendships he built along the way. He took great pride in his work and carried that same pride into everything he did - whether it was spending time with his son Willie or enjoying a good laugh with friends at the Elks Lodge, where he was a beloved and active member
Billy also leaves behind a wide circle of friends who will remember him for his stories, his laughter, and his loyalty. At the Elks Lodge, he was more than a member - he was a brother to many and a constant presence who made everyone feel welcome.
As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate a life well lived. Billy's legacy is one of love, laughter, hard work, and friendship. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Rest in peace, Billy - your light lives on in all who knew and loved you.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the Elks Lodge No. 8 - 2824 Klondike Lane, Louisville, KY 40218 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to the Elks Lodge No. 8 charities in honor of Billy.
