Can´t believe it´s been a year since his passing. He had a larger than life personality and I have so many memories! I made sure to arrive early at his Celebration of Life because I knew it would be "standing room only", and it was. That says a lot about Bill. He touched so many people´s lives! I´m so lucky to have been one of those people.

Thinking of Bill today, and his loving family. I am so glad I got to know Bill, though I wish I had the opportunity to know him better. To know Bill was to love him and enjoy being around him. What a wonderful person, with a great sense of humor. I'll never forget when he flew Fran, Jeanie DuMont , and myself to the Keys for a meeting. (He was on strike from Eastern at the time.) He found out Jeanie and I had never seen Lake Okeechobee or the Everglades so he flew low so we could see them. Other fun and scary things happened that weekend that made it memorable. I'm so sorry Bill was taken from you way too soon. He was so proud of his 'girls,' and had the best mom and wife he could have asked for. Sending Alex and Sam, Fran, and Carla love.

I am so saddened to learn of Bill´s way too early passing. My heart goes out to Carla, Alex, Sam, Fran, Leah, Steve and the extended Baer family. Bill´s wit and large personality brought smiles to everyone he met. So so sorry for your loss.

I´m so sorry to hear of Bill`s passing.
Bill and I were in the same new-hire class at United in 1989.
Bill had an infectious smile and I enjoyed our conversations whenever we would run into each other around United.
He will be missed!

Darlene and I send our deepest condolences on your loss. Was glad to have met Bill and given the opportunity to fly for him for 7 years. Taught me a lot about charter flying. He will be missed.

Hard to believe such a brilliant and generous man is gone. I owe a lot to both Carla and Bill for giving me a new career in aviation, way back in 2006. It has been quite a ride and I´ve met so many great people thanks to them. Godspeed Bill.

My prayers go out to the family and especially his wife and children. Bill worked for me as "Officer Friendly" at the Gainesville Police Dept.for a number of years and had a knack for dealing with children and the school system. He had a friendly and professional way of getting the message out to the kids...and it made a difference. He will be missed.
