William Bailey Obituary
William was born March, 19, 1943 in Tarboro, NC, the son of the late Herbert Theodore Bailey and the late Sally Gray Hargrove Bailey. William served our country; in the United States Army. He attended college at East Carolina University with a double major in Physical Education and Geography. While attending college, he played football. William loved sports, working and making money. He will be missed by many.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Reynolds Bailey.
William is survived by his children, Chad and Sharon Bailey of Douglasville, Bart and Anita Bailey of Covington, siblings, Herbert and Diane Bailey of Virginia Beach, VA., Sally and George White of Texas, six grandchildren and spouses, Taylor & Chase White, Josh & Lauren Bailey, Hunter & Mystikal Bailey, Autumn Bailey, Kristin Bailey, Rory Stowe, four great grandchildren, Hallie Bailey, Raylin White, William Bailey and Johnny Bailey.
Memorial Service will be conducted Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of J. Collins Funeral Home.
