William A "Billy" Baker Jr., 66, passed away after a long illness on Monday August 25, in Skowhegan Maine.

Born on March 15 1959, in San Jose, California, Billy was preceded in death by Stepfather Harold E Fusoni, Father William A Baker Sr., Mother Louise A Baker and infant son Ryan E Baker.

Billy is lovingly remembered by his children, William A "Billy" Baker III, and Sarah Farnsworth both of Ft Kent. His siblings Ellen Russell and husband Mike of Hartland ME, Joanne Cook of Pittsfield ME, David Baker and wife Sally of Pittsfield ME, Scott Baker and wife Julie of Searsport ME, Patti Ainslie of Ohio, Elaine Silva and husband Ron of California and Companion Beth Fallon of Skowhegan ME.

He had a special place in his heart for his "Grand-kids" that he adored. They brought him much Joy.

Billy was an avid sportsman all through his life who loved to play and watch baseball, football, golf, darts, and pool among many other sports. He belonged to numerous adult league sports and once had a Sunday class for kids who wanted to learn how to play pool. He was raised in Boston and loved his favorite hometown teams, the Red Sox, New England Patriots, Bruins and Celtics.

Billy proudly served his country by enlisting in the Army in 1977 with the Screaming Eagles 101st Airborne Division. His achievements were many. He gained the rank of Buck Sargent and was awarded Marksman. He was an extremely proud to be a Veteran.

Billy was a free spirit who was all heart but tough as nails when he needed to be. He was a "Hippy" at heart and could often been seen wearing his tie dyed T-shirts and bandannas. He meant it when he said he loved you and his family meant the world to him. We loved our brother with all our hearts and he will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held at the Pittsfield Village Cemetery on Peltoma Avenue in Pittsfield Maine 04967, on Saturday, September 6th at 2:00 p.m. Officiated by Pastor Bill Johnson. Care has been provided by Direct Cremation of Maine. All are welcome to attend.
